The Wonder Woman Challenge was born out of my own brokenness. I had been battling an incurable skin disorder that really bugged me. I would never settle for “incurable”. While in the middle of yet another Internet search, I found someone who had answers for me.
I found a mentor who would open a whole new world for me. Turns out that the Rosacea I had been battling for nearly 20 years was stuck emotion and personal neglect. She taught me fun, creative ways to rid my body of the junk and she taught me how to take care of myself in a healthy, balanced way.
As I cleared out the stuck emotion and began to self-nurture, which simply means taking good care of yourself and loving yourself, my face began to heal and I became a new person.
You see, in the middle of all the illness I also found myself in a depressed state. There were days, sometimes many days when I wouldn’t even get out of bed. I could hardly function at times often dreading a new day.
As I learned to love and care for myself and as I learned more about who I was, joy returned to my spirit and soul. I began to come alive. I began to live again!!
An idea came to me one day. I wondered what would happen if I challenged myself to a 30-day self-nurture challenge. Below is an excerpt of my personal journal concerning the results of this challenge written July 27, 2006:
Those 30 days really impacted my life on multiple levels. During that time I really tuned into what was going on within me and what I needed. My stress level lowered, my mood was better and I was generally a much happier person.
I became much stronger physically as my workouts soared. As a matter of fact I’m discovering muscle mass that I’ve never had before… like actual triceps with the tricep dent. I’m so excited about that! My body is beginning to change before my eyes. Granted I was working out before the challenge but I do believe that the challenge enriched my life in such a way that I was able to make better progress and receive more results.
During the 30 days I attracted things into my life like a couple of different business opportunities which I will share about another time. I’m very excited especially about one in particular. I also attracted new friendships and at the same time strengthened current relationships.
As I reflect back on the month I’m realizing that all the self-nurturance really did fill my cup. So much so that all that self-love began to change my energy …. you know the part of us that is reflected unseen. It is evident by what I’m currently attracting into my life. Ya know, God created us to create. If our cup is empty how can we create anything? I’m seeing that when my cup is full to overflowing, God’s wonders and miracles happen in an incredible way.
This is my personal testimony of becoming a woman of wonder. I encourage you to take this simple 30-day challenge and allow your life to change like mine did. It’s time to fill up your cup to overflowing and watch God’s wonders and miracles work for you as well!
I look forward to assisting you in your journey and hearing all about your results! And I can’t wait to publish your testimony of becoming a woman of wonder!
God bless you!
